The meter readings you provide u,s allow us to charge you for your energy consumption.
If you have just switched to Tonik, we will send you an email around 5 days before your switch to ensure that you can submit your opening meter reads. In case you forget, we will also send you a reminder.
After that, unless your meter is a smart meter that we can automatically read, we shall be sending you monthly reminders to enter your meter read. We do this so that your statement can be based on the most accurate readings. If you are unable to provide a read before your monthly cycle ends, we shall use an estimate to create your statement.
If you provide us actual reads at least once every 3 months, we can keep our estimates close to your actual reads. However, if you are unable to provide your readings, we use estimated reads for billing your property.
